One in a Million

We have the worst luck in picking zoo days.  For the past two or three years we have managed to plan to go to the zoo on the hottest day of the year.  This week nearly every day had highs in the 60's, and even a few in the 80's, however, we had already planned to go on the zoo on Tuesday, think highs in low 40's and blowing wind.  Cold.  But we still had fun with Jude, and then his cousin Andrew got to come later and join us.
Love that his kid had a pony tail!!

We parked next to a slug bug!! If you only knew how coll that was!?! And yes I did have to talk to them about touching other peoples cars...

Getting Jude all bundled up...

Where's Jude?

Helping to fix his hat.

Does this face look like a happy face, or like he is mentally sharing a few choice words with his mother for the amount of clothing he has on?

Teaching him how to move his arms.

Benefit of a cold day is that all the animals are inside.  And as an FYI, the gorillas totally people watch! This gal was not a fan of me taking her picture.

This one actually rolled her eyes at me!

Outside, is a different story.  Below fifty, they put all the animals inside where you can't see them.  Eventually the boys started grasping for any animal they could find.  We saw this beautifully rare squirrel collecting items for his nest.

At the cheetahs, they were out and moving or laying in the open.

We all got so excited watching and looking! Then I turned around and found Jude like this.
