This weekend was yard clean up day at the Hoff household. We trimmed plants, raked missed leaves, mulched flower beds, and killed snakes. Lots of snakes! We found about five small, less than a foot long brown snakes with two brown lines down their backs. The boys were in heaven! They loved it. One unfortunate beheaded snake was their “toy” for almost 45minutes. Since they couldn’t touch it, they just poked it with sticks. Mr. Science, otherwise known as Garrett, loved watching it, and couldn’t figure out how it could still move without its brain attached. They were able to make its headless body squeeze around the sticks, and make it wiggle all over the place. Garrett even some how managed to get some of the snake blood on his finger, (all while swearing he didn’t touch the snake, yeah right) and went on and on about how cold the snakes blood was. (Because he is cold blooded…) I was too afraid to go inside and leave them alone with the snake, so sorry no pictures.
Besides snakes, they spent most of the morning playing with Batman. Batman moved all over the yard, the neighbor’s driveway, up a tree, in the bushes, and landed on the back porch right before lunch.
Waiting for lunch
Garrett took over the camera and wanted to get a picture of me making lunch
