Final Summer Shenanigans

August was probably the most busy month we had all summer.  We spent even more time with cousins, Shark week, went to Six Flags, hit our Fort Worth Zoo, and of course with it being the hottest month of the year we started an outside project.

Lunch in the fort

Tripp's church outfit.  He said he was ready to go hunting.

Shark Week!! We kicked off shark week with another really cool puzzle.

What do you watch shark week wearing? Your shark hat of course!!

Garrett was so excited to meet these three heros!!! He couldn't even say hi to them.

Granddaddy loves Six Flags

So we decided to start a backyard improvement project in August.  Not our smartest move, but Hank didn't care.  He was just glad we had ventured outside.

Pretty sure this is why we started the project.  He had just gotten an new wagon/trailer for his mower and had to check it out.

We love the Fort Worth Zoo!!  Especially when the animals get so close.

The boys were excited to see Casey at the zoo.

Petting an armadillo.

Garrett's arms are bigger than the wing span of a peregrine falcon.

sweet new baby flamingos

The last thing we did before school started was have Jude spend the night before his new baby brother was born.  The boys had fun "babysitting" him.

I learned later this was Jude's first donut.

They were getting into trouble and I asked who started it.
