What Else Did We Do This Summer?

We also spent time this summer babysitting Franny Granny for a day.

Hank loved Granny.  He even tried a few times to get into her lap.

Granny and I cheered on the boys playing baseball.

Somedays we fought crime together as a family. Meet Superman and Batgirl.

Then there were days we had to find something to do.  Meet Clyde.  He came in a box and didn't quite take long enough to build.

Tripp singing if I only had a brain.

Garrett took some of Clyde's guts for his own.  He laughed and yelled, "Look I have guts now!"

Mad and in need of a nap.  He wanted to hold Clyde.

Also, we were expert Popsicle makers.  This flavor was Tang and Strawberry Lemonaid.

For the fourth of July we headed down to San Augustine to camp.  Unlike most parts of Texas, the lake was too high and the beach we normally went to was totally under water.  Therefore Pud improvised with a slip and slide. We also shot tons of fireworks and BB guns.

This is how Hank rode the whole way there.

This is the "stop taking my picture face"

Hank and Brody decided to run away while we weren't watching.  When we went after them Brody decided to take a cool rest in the puddle beside the road.

The rest of July was full of relaxing and special treats and legos.

We also had to take Hank to the vet, so we were able to spend some time swimming at Grandmama's.

Lastly, July was when Garrett said good-bye to his two front teeth.

He thought he looked weird.

So the tooth pulling was a fairly dramatic event in out house.  His tooth was so loose that when he breathed it moved in and out.  I told him due to safety reasons, he had to pull the tooth, but he refused.  When Cody got home we both literally wrestled him down and pulled the tooth.  He was so mad!! And the tooth was so ready to come out, it didn't even bleed. After he ran off angry at us, Cody went back to check on him and this mean/mad faced Garrett like lego was standing guard outside his room.

Due to a planned visit with Gabby and Pud the tooth-fairy left this guy on guard until Garrett could get home and collect his money.

Then while at Gabby's he pulled one more.
