Our Houseguest

Garrett is in the Tiger class at school.  Their class has a pet tiger.  The tigers name is Tommy, and every week he goes home with one of the kids for a week.  They have to make sure Tommy has fun, and take pictures of their adventures together to put in the class scrapbook. 

Last week was Tommy's turn at our house.  Here is a sampling of our adventures with Tommy.

Tommy refused dinner at our house because he only eats fish.  Since my kids don't eat fish, it isn't served very often.  Hopefully the next family he visits will be more open to his diet.

Garrett wanted to take Tommy to the zoo so that he could meet all the other big cats.  We saw the white and orange tigers and the lions.

Garrett was team captain of his soccer team last week, and that means he gets to lead the team through the tunnel onto the field.  And then he gets to be the one to play rock/paper/scissors to see who kicks the ball.  Tommy was able to run with him...

...but he enjoyed the game safely from the sidelines with the rest of the family.

Tommy also went with us to Van to pick up Tripp's new bed, slept with Garrett every night and went to church with us as well.
